WOW! That was AWSOME!

Home safe & sound.

Hank is now well and truely wed. My brain cannot wrap around the MANY thousands of dollars their families dropped on this wedding/honeymoon. Hank is Jack's best friend in the whole-wide-world. Jack was the Best Man. He looks SO GOOD in a tux!

We arrived in Ft. Lauderdale Thursday at noontime; Hank picked us up; went to lunch; went to get the final fitting for the tuxes; got my nails done while they were doing that; managed to take a nap & get ready for the bachelor/bachelorette party (combined). They rented a small party bus who took us to some local nightspots. Ended up spending most of our time at Howl at the Moon. It was fun, in a "normal" sort of way. It was like hanging around a bunch of sorority girls, but they were all very nice. Spent most of my time people watching with the guys. Couldn't get drunk though. Damnit!

Friday evening was wedding rehearsal & dinner. The dinner was at a very nice restaraunt on the Intercoastal Waterway. Coconut shrimp the size of the palm of my hand! Wow!

Saturday the guys were supposed to play golf, but Jack didn't sleep well at all the night before, so we checked into the hotel early & slept. We had the ocean view of my dreams! It was SO incredibly beautiful. We ended up getting the wedding party rate for a room that normally ran over $300 a night! http://marriott.com/property/viewallphotos/pbidr?WT_Ref=mi_left

That afternoon we went down to the beach. And I didn't get sunburned! YEA!!!! Loved my new bathing suit. Loved splashing in the waves. I only went in to about waist deep. Jack looked for seashells & bits of coral. Went back up to the pool & the jacuzzi. The water in the ocean and the pool was as warm as bathwater! Ahhhhh. Oh it was sooo nice!

The wedding was a fairytale. I can't put it into words right now, it was so beautiful. There was a brief reception after the ceremony with hordourves & champagne while they readied the main hall for the dinner & dancing. 7 piece band! And they were awsome! Dinner was a wonderful filet mignon, more food than you can shake a fork at. Lots of traditional Jewish stuff going on... grandpa cutting the bread, dancing in circles, hoisting the bride/groom & parents up in chairs & dancing around.

Oh... and guess who ended up with the damned bridal bouquet? :::rolling my eyes:::
And I was in the BACK! It's a conspiracy!

Sunday morning was the farewell breakfast with the bride & groom, which was basically the reception room from the night before setup for a HUGE breakfast buffet and someone to make omlets for you.

They're leaving for their honeymoon tomorrow. They fly to Rome, spend a day there, then take a 10-day cruise of the Mediterranean.

There was no way in hell I could have POSSIBLY overdressed for this wedding! WOW!!! It was SO wonderful! We had SO much fun! It was hard to get on the plane & come back to Columbus today.
